How to Create a Facebook Business Page in 10 Easy Steps
In this technological world that we live in. Communities and people are more connected than ever, and that is through online communities like social media platforms. In order for small, medium size or big businesses to market their services they need some sort of online presence. A great platform to get started as a business is on Facebook.

Here is a step by step guide to get started with your Facebook Business Page.
Step 1: Getting Started
In order for you to create a business page you must first sign in into your personal facebook page. You can also go to https://www.facebook.com/business/pages to get started.
After that click “create” button and a window like this will pop-up like the screenshot below.

When you are on this screen, select Page. Once Page is selected, a new window will display where you will be able to create a Business Page for a Business or a Brand, or create a Professional Page for a Community or Public Figure.

Step 2: What is your Business Name?
That’s right, it’s time to give your Facebook Business Page a name.
After you enter the name, you will need to also specify the category of your business. In this area, all you have to do is start typing the category where your business fits. As you start typing a drop-down of Business Categories will display below. Select the category that best fits your business.
If your business fits into multiple categories, select the one that is closest to your Business.

Depending on the Business Category, you will be prompted to enter your Company Address and Phone Number as well. It’s okay if this screen is not prompted for you. You will get a chance to add all of these information later.
Step 3: Get Recognized
What is the best way to get recognized? By adding a profile and a cover picture of course.
Your Page’s profile picture:
Displays at 170×170 pixels on your Page on computers, 128×128 pixels on smartphones and 36×36 pixels on most feature phones.
Your Page’s cover photo:
Displays at 820 pixels wide by 312 pixels tall on your Page on computers and 640 pixels wide by 360 pixels tall on smartphones. Must be at least 400 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall.
Keep in mind that your Page’s profile picture will be cropped to a circular shape in ads and posts, but will remain the same square shape when people visit your Page.

Depending on your Business Category you will be prompted with a 3rd step. In this case I was prompted to add Bookings to my Business Page.

Congratulations. The barebones of your Facebook Business Page have been created.
So, what’s next?
Step 4: Let’s create a username.
Once again you have to be as unique as possible, that’s where your username comes out to save the day. Your page username makes it easier for customers to find you.
You can find your Username underneath your Profile Picture. Click on the username that has been automatically created by Facebook. Once you click on that, a new screen will come up, where you can enter a Username for your Business.

Step 5: Let’s Create Your Templates and Tabs
Templates and Tabs are additional pages you can have on your Facebook Business Page. Facebook makes this part really easy to use, and depending on your Business Category, Facebook has pre-made templates for you. In order to access these Templates and Tabs, click on Settings, and then on the left side, your will see a button Templates and Tabs.

If you do not like the default tabs that have been created, click on Edit on Templates section to view a different template.
You can use Default Templates or Fully Customize what tabs are displayed on your Business Page. If you wish to customize the Tabs click on the button On/Off for Use Default Tabs.
To remove a Tab from your page, select Settings on the specific Tab and then select On/Off

Step 6: Add your Company Information
People nowadays want to know as much as they can before making a decision, so the more information you give them, the higher the chances of them using your services are.
To access this, click on Settings and then Page Info.

Enter all of your Company Details here, such as: Description, Contact Information, Website, Email, Hours, Location, Products and Prices.
Step 7: Create a Button
Buttons are a great way to help people take an action. People see it on your Page and in search results when your Page appears.
There are 5 different ways you can add a button on your page:
- Book With You – This allows people to book your services. Use the on-screen directions to set this up correctly.
- Contact You – This allows people to contact you via messenger or phone-call.
- Learn more about your business – This allows people to read more detail information about your business
- Shop with you – If you sell things online, use this button to display any offers.
- Download your app or play a game – In case you’re a game developer this button allows people to make use of that game more easily

Step 8: Services
Depending on your Business, you can customize and display all or some of your services. You will be able to highlight services as well as display prices on your Facebook Business Page.
Get started by clicking on Settings, and then Templates and Tabs
You will need to scroll down, to the Tabs section and Add Services tab if it was not previously added. Click on Add a Tab and select Services. Once this tab has been added, click on Settings for this tab, and click on the Services Link.

When clicking on the link, you will be directed to the area where you can create your Services.

Click on Add a Service. You will be directed to another screen, where you can add all of your Services Details.

Step 9: Enable Messaging
By enabling Messages your customers can easily contact you about any request or problem that they may have.
You can do so by going to Settings and then Messaging.

Follow the on-screen directions to set up Messaging.
Step 10: Reviews
Who doesn’t want to see the reviews?
You can make use of reviews by going into Settings, and then select Templates and Tabs
You will need to scroll down, to the Tabs section and Add Reviews tab if it was not previously added. Click on Add a Tab and select Reviews. Once this tab has been added, click on Settings for this tab, and click On/Off.

Your customers can share Feedback for your Business, by click on Share Feedback.
